Step 1 of 4

Teacher Creation

Build assignments using our intuitive assignment builder and generate shareable links for students.

Getting Started

Creating an assignment in TYay is straightforward. Start by navigating to your course page and clicking β€œNew Assignment.” From there, you can upload your rubric and other materials.

Upload Your Materials

You can upload various types of materials to help our AI understand your grading expectations:

  • Rubrics: Your grading criteria and point distributions
  • Assignment Sheets: The instructions students will follow
  • Answer keys: Expected responses for each question
  • Sample work: Examples of student responses at different quality levels

AI-Powered Rubric Generation

Once you upload your materials, our AI analyzes them to generate a structured rubric it can use to grade and generate feedback with precision. This includes identifying individual questions, extracting grading criteria, and understanding what constitutes a complete answer.

You can review and customize every aspect of the generated rubric:

  • Adjust point values for each question
  • Modify grading criteria and expectations
  • Add or remove questions as needed

Standardized Google Doc is Generated

Upon finalizing and completing your assignment creation a Google document is created in your Google Drive formatted to your specific preferences, standardizing the aesthetic quality of students work.

Test Your Assignment

Before sharing with students, you can test your assignment to ensure the AI grades responses as expected. Enter sample answers and see how the AI evaluates them. This helps you calibrate the grading to match your expectations.

Share with Students

Once your assignment is ready, pass it out with a shareable link. When students click this link, they receive their own editable copy of the assignment as a Google Doc. All student documents are saved in your Google Drive, giving you full control and access.
